T227
Service Management, Requirements & Databases, and Project Management
T227 is built around three blocks. Block 1 covers IT service management using the ITIL framework: the five stages of the service lifecycle (service strategy, design, transition, operation and continual service improvement), change management and governance, and working effectively in operational and project teams. Block 2 covers requirements engineering and databases: functional and non-functional requirements, stakeholders, conceptual (entity-relationship) and relational data modelling, normalisation, realising the physical schema, and querying, aggregating, joining and securing data using SQL. Block 3 covers software project management: the iron triangle of cost, time and scope, project organisation, product breakdown structures and activity networks, the critical path and float, estimating and resource allocation, monitoring, control and change management, and software quality and risk management.
